"The Utterly Predictable Rise and Fall of Congressman Cassidy Brown"

AUDITION INFORMATION:

The Covey Theater Company is looking to cast individuals 18+ for this staged reading and encourages everyone to join us, regardless of race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, and all protected individuals in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

ABOUT THE PLAY:

Born into a political dynasty, Cassidy Brown is now poised to make history as the youngest representative ever elected to congress. Hounding him to victory are his mother, uncle, and personal assistant, while his sister and wife wave flares of caution. What does Cassidy's conscience have to say? Who the hell said he had one?

Accountability is comedy, because it only happens in fiction. Join the cast of this laugh-out-loud, original new play!

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Noah Goldberg, Cassidy's personal assistant (M, 22-32): hilarious, charming, unabashedly gay, with just a hint of opportunism. Noah doesn't care who wins, as long as he's on the winning side. Integral to the spiraling machinations of the plot, Noah's cleverness and emotional control reaps rewards by the end of the play.
